On May 17th, 2023, the UK Mercy Fellowship took part in a heartwarming act of kindness by providing hot food, fresh fruits, and toiletries to the homeless at the Strand in London. The fellowship members were grateful for the opportunity to assist those in need and expressed their appreciation to the Holy Father, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.
The UK Mercy Fellowship worked tirelessly to ensure the successful distribution of essential supplies to the marginalized and neglected individuals who often go hungry. The fellowship's dedicated members, including Her Eminences Josephine Mugbeh and Margaret Ejukomenu, Blessed Mothers Rose Akpan and BM Thelma Williams, and His Grace Archbishop Joseph Edun, exemplified the spirit of service and selflessness. Their efforts were recognized and appreciated by the recipients, conveying a message of solidarity and compassion for all.
The act of kindness shown by the UK Mercy Fellowship and BCS UK provided the homeless with not only physical nourishment but also a sense of dignity and hope. This noble cause exemplified the power of unity and collective action, reminding everyone that every person deserves compassion and support. Addressing homelessness and poverty requires ongoing efforts and a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
As the event concluded, heartfelt prayers were offered for the homeless brethren, hoping for their circumstances to improve and for them to find the strength and opportunities to rebuild their lives. The UK Mercy Fellowship and BCS UK expressed gratitude to the Holy Father for guiding them in their endeavours and enabling them to carry out acts of kindness that align with the core principles of compassion and love. Let us continue to work together to empower the homeless to reclaim their dignity and lead fulfilling lives.
Thank You Father
